Spotted-tailed Quoll Den Building Project

Bodangora Wind Farm

The Spotted-tailed Quoll is listed as a vulnerable species in New South Wales, with a key threat being loss of potential den sites such as large hollow logs. This native species has been sighted twice in the vicinity of our Bodangora Wind Farm, which is located near Wellington in central west NSW.

In partnership with Habitat Innovation and Management, our staff worked hard to install 15 custom dens that can help the population recover in the region.

Initiatives such as this one align with Iberdrola Australia’s net positive biodiversity target. We recognise this goal is ambitious and critically important, and one that must be pursued in parallel with the energy transition. We are working hard to enhance biodiversity in the regions in which we operate.
